‘Metanoia’ The Latest Album from Falling You

"‘Metanoia’ The Latest Album from Falling You"

Metanoia is the latest sonic journey from composer and sound sculptor John Michael Zorko, under his long-running ambient-ethereal project Falling You. This immersive 11-track album unfolds as a deeply emotional and meditative exploration of change, memory, and transformation. Anchored by atmospheric synths, textured guitars, and cinematic sound design, Metanoia features a stunning cast of guest vocalists whose voices carry the project’s lyrical and emotional weight.

Contributors include Dru Allen on the shimmering “Alcyone,” Courtney Grace on the haunting “Flesh to Tree” and “Ariadne,” Jennifer Wilde on the elegiac “Demiurge (Momento Eorum)” and the tender closer “A Thread of Happiness,” and Amelia Hogan, Erica Mulkey, Anji Lum, and Colleen Segale, among others. Each track is a chapter in an introspective narrative that spans grief, beauty, cosmic longing, and quiet resilience. With its slow-building arcs and rich layers, Metanoia is not just an album—it’s an emotional environment, a space to inhabit.

Falling You continues to blur the line between ambient, dream pop, and cinematic post-rock, drawing listeners inward with both intimacy and grandeur. At once deeply personal and universally resonant, Metanoia is an invitation to reflect, to feel, and ultimately, to transform.

Falling You is an ethereal and ambient music project founded in 1995 by composer and sound designer John Michael Zorko. Richard Dillon Releases Album ‘Fernweh: The Need to Travel’

"Richard Dillon Releases Album ‘Fernweh: The Need to Travel’"

With Fernweh: The Need to Travel, pianist and composer Richard Dillon invites listeners on a journey through landscapes both real and imagined. Spanning compositions written between 2017 and 2025, the album reflects Dillon’s lifelong fascination with movement, memory, and place, each piece a postcard from a different moment in time.

From the intimate tenderness of “Breakfast with My Best Friend” to the sweeping romanticism of “Camelot” and the haunting stillness of “- 20”, Dillon captures emotion through melody with painterly precision. The music evokes a traveler’s sense of wonder: fleeting scenes of friendship, loss, nature, and nostalgia rendered through shimmering piano textures and expressive phrasing.

Though rooted in the New Age / Neo-Impressionist tradition, Fernweh is deeply cinematic: its sound world unfolds like a film score for an inner voyage. The album’s narrative flows effortlessly from light to shadow, from the innocence of “Chasing Butterflies” to the meditative depth of “Echoes of a Broken Heart” and the reflective grace of “Mother’s Eyes.”

Richard Dillon is a composer-pianist whose music draws on the evocative power of memory, place and quiet introspection. With a formal background that includes an AA, BA and Master of Music in piano and composition, he has woven a multi-faceted career: as a performer in USO tours across the Pacific, a music educator, and—more recently—a recording artist whose solo-piano works have reached an international audience.

Growing up with Asperger’s and ADHD, Dillon found solace and expression in the piano. What began as lessons in childhood evolved into a lifelong journey of sound and storytelling. Reflecting his self-described “Neo-Impressionist” aesthetic, his compositions capture everything from the wistful longing of travel to the ambient hush of a winter’s night.

Based in Seattle, Dillon’s catalogue spans over a decade of releases on streaming platforms, including works featured on Pandora and Spotify. His music invites listeners into a landscape both intimate and expansive —a place where melody becomes memory and silence becomes texture.

Alan Matthews Releases Album ‘Imagining’

"Alan Matthews Releases Album ‘Imagining’"

Alan Matthews’ piano has always been about raw human emotion & abstract existential awareness, an inspiration from both heart & mind…his music has ‘gravitas’ as Will Ackerman has commented …now, he’s gone down the rabbit hole of his imagination to come up with a truly inspired, surreal musical journey into the ‘what if’… where the world is seen through child’s eyes… and one can hide in the sun… immersed in divine light… where standing still to dodge the clouds, now becomes forever… a place where wishes might come true… and life is just a dream…

Screenshot 2025-11-12 at 8.50.19 PM

Alan Matthews first three piano albums were produced by Grammy winner & Windham Hill Founder Will Ackerman at Imaginary Road Studios in Vermont. The albums were co-produced and engineered by Grammy nominated musician Tom Eaton. The Ineffable (2017) earned Matthews’ a Best New Artist nomination by ZMR that year. From Denial’s End (2019), ‘A Thought of You’ aired on SiriusXM. All That I Can See (2022) received a Whisperings Album of the Year Honorable Mention. Will Ackerman said, “This record is one of the very best recordings I’ve heard in many years.”

Matthews’ next two albums, Seasons Change (2023) and Anonymous Moods (2024), were co-produced with Michael Silverman at Clayton Studios. Anonymous Moods was nominated for Album of the Year by solopiano.com. Ackerman said, “This is a masterpiece! Beauty, surprise… wonder and awe. What a joy!” Now, Alan Matthews continues his prolific artistic run with Imagining (2025), his fourth release in as many years.

Jon Dahlander Releases Album ‘Searching For Solace’

"Jon Dahlander Releases Album ‘Searching For Solace’"

Jon Dahlander’s fifth solo piano project, Searching for Solace, reflects emotions experienced since his last record, Songs for Smiler McGee. The result is an introspective collection of piano solos expressing love and loss, hope and nostalgia.

Screenshot 2025-11-12 at 8.35.09 PM

Jon Dahlander tries to play every piano he sees. While that love of the piano has caused him to be run out of hotel lobbies and bars throughout his life, it also explains why his compositions have found an audience in more than 100 countries totaling more than 150 million streams.

Dahlander became a Beatles fan before he could talk and started playing piano by ear at 5. He played trombone in elementary school band, eventually earning a music scholarship to Trinity University in San Antonio. While there, he retreated to the piano practice rooms, finding catharsis in creating songs and learning old favorites. He was inspired by Windham Hill artists George Winston, Phillip Aaberg and Allaudin Mathieu, whom he sought out to become his teacher.

The love of the piano led to 3 albums in the late 90’s for Dallas-based indie label Carpe Diem Records. In 2000, his wife gave birth to a son with significant special needs and they were in and out of hospitals often. While Jared never spoke, it was very apparent that he loved music too and his father would play for him for hours. When Jared died of kidney failure in 2014, Dahlander again found solace in the piano, eventually releasing Songs for Smiler McGee in 2017.

Dahlander’s fifth solo piano project, Searching for Solace, picks up where Smiler McGee left off, reflecting emotions experienced since then. The result is an introspective collection of piano solos expressing love and loss, hope and nostalgia.

Larkenlyre Releases Album ‘While We Were There’

"Larkenlyre Releases Album ‘While We Were There’"

We couldn’t help ourselves and lost track of time at the pond. Now it was dark and the stars were reflecting in the still waters.

Eventually we retraced our steps through the dark forest to get back to the cottage. Entirely new sounds met us as we emerged from the woods into the marsh.

As we settled in, we were grateful to have windows open, as a whippoorwill serenaded us throughout a deep sleep. We both had countless dreams that night and woke before dawn. We sat and watched the dawn skies turn a thousand colors, at first rich and dark, but finally opening to a vast golden spanse.

Geese flew overhead. They were heading south while we were there.
