Central Coast artist Jessie May-K has once again teamed up with occasional collaborator Miguel Cullen-Green to write and record their new single ‘Anchor.’
A mid-tempo duet featuring their male and female counter pointed vocals with spine tingling harmonies, the song tells the story of support and love in a relationship no matter what.
The instrumentation includes acoustic guitar and keyboards played by Miguel.
Recorded at Damien Gerard Studios in West Gosford by Murray Dilger and Andrew Beck, produced by Miguel Cullen-Green, and mixed by Aria Winner Russell Pilling in his Tasmanian studio.
With Jessie playing in London and Dublin later this year, the tune is destined to find a worldwide following.

Jessie-May K is a young Singer, Songwriter, Director, Actor & Artist. Most successful as an internet personality, Jessie has released 6 singles, a 5 track EP Zone Out (2020), and a full album Rising Sun (2023). Originally trained in Musical Theatre, Jessie transferred to music when they were 16, teaching themselves guitar from YouTube to elevate their musical career, as they had been writing songs with lyrics and melody since they were 5 years old. Jessie is passionate about social justice and activism, often releasing music about movements that are important to them, raising awareness and sharing donation links in the hopes it will make a difference. Jessie is Neurodivergent and was born with ASD, ADHD, OCD and developed PTSD as a result of their early hardships and extreme childhood trauma. Jessie believes that the world thrives on diversity and that benign individuality is something to be celebrated and not feared.

The songs emerged after lead singer and songwriter Eddie Lawlor lost both his father and brother within sixteen months of each other in Ireland. WIVAJOY is the alter-ego for an artist in the New Age world. Their music is a playground where the artist layers rhythmic electronica with melodic acoustic instrumentation. It’s sensual, it’s dream-like and it comes from another world.
Earlier in their career they won an award for Best Dance/Club/Dub but abandoned the pursuit of the genre so as not to confuse their acoustic New Age audience. After countless pleas from fans, they are now back recording chill music and as ‘Wivajoy’ feeling free to explore this pursuit further.
Wivajoy’s keyboard, vocals and arrangements are influenced by the need to layer rhythm and synth together with acoustic parts. Their acoustic career highlights include having a song on a Grammy winning album as well as being a finalist or winning over 50 awards world wide including IMA, IAMA, MusicOZ, ARIA Finalist and more.
Love is Out, is an emotive track that explores feelings that bite in the aftermath of a relationship gone south. The song dives into emotions like feeling frustrated and vulnerable when you try to give your heart to someone only to be left questioning everything when they break your trust. It’s about that moment when love stops feeling like a dream and starts to feel more like a game. The track is for anyone who has ever felt burned out by love and left wondering if they’ll ever believe in it again. It’s a punchy track that’s up in tempo and the catchy melody keeps you wanting more.
Kalen Hogan debuted onto the local Central Coast music scene in late 2022. Kalen quickly captivated audiences through his evocative songwriting and unique sound. Kalen’s beginnings reached an early milestone with the release of his first album, Isolation, in May 2023, at just 17 years of age.
Exploring themes of introspection and the human experience, Isolation embodies the solitude experienced during its creation amidst pandemic lockdowns. Songs such as “It’s you” and “Stoned and Cold” highlight Kalen’s talent for merging melancholic lyrics with engaging melodies. His pure vocal quality has drawn parallels to Thom Yorke of Radiohead and the late Jeff Buckley, while his musical style pays tribute to the 1990s grunge era, reflecting influences from bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains.
In 2024, Kalen continued to expand his music, releasing three singles that solidified his reputation as creative songwriter. “On the Phone,” released in April, singing of a culture engrossed in dating apps and disconnected individuals. The June 2024 release, “Right There,” contemplates the transient nature of time and the human inclination to take the present for granted until it has passed. Following this, November 2024’s “Mindless” courageously delves into the complexities of mental illness.
Kalen is set to release two new singles in September and October 2025. The singles “Love is Out” and “Ratio: promise to further investigate the intricacies of human relationships. Coupled with his growing live presence, this prolific young songwriter is an emerging talent that is certainly worth watching out for. Originally written on the street in Newtown after a late night, The Dancer has gone through many incarnations in various live performances both as a solo artist and various band line ups. This release is dedicated to the force that was Tina Turner. It is also a call to change the name of the fourth house of The Zodiac to ‘Dancer’ in her honour, as it seems wrong to Kaijin that a disease should be named after a sign of The Zodiac.
Kaijin Solo is a contemporary singer/songwriter based on the NSW Central Coast with a blues rock influence. He has been working and honing his craft for many years with various band line-ups and the plentiful bread and butter busking jobs and pub/club gigs around the coast.
In between studio sessions Kaijin formed The Backbeats with Rhys Meyer on Vocals and Keys, Felix Harper on Bass and Ash Feder on Drums. They spent much of 2023 playing local venues such as the infamous Link and Pin, Brackets and Jam on Kincumber Mountain, Avoca Beach Hotel. Kaijin and Rhys also did a few duo appearances at various venues such as: the Long Jetty Hotel and Bateau Bay Bowling Club.
