Kaiyah Mercedes Releases New Single ‘3 Month Blackout’

"Kaiyah Mercedes Releases New Single ‘3 Month Blackout’"

In a stirring evolution of indie pop-rock, Kaiyah Mercedes returns with their latest single, ‘3 Month Blackout’, out 5 March. Building on the bold sonic shift of previous releases, Kaiyah Mercedes invites listeners into a raw and unfiltered journey through the aftermath of a whirlwind relationship. The track is anchored by driving guitars and dynamic percussion, capturing the unpredictable rise and fall of emotion that comes with moving on. The song’s structure mirrors the reality of emotional recovery, with moments of intensity giving way to quieter reflection.

At the heart of the track is the lyric: ‘Awkward silence, emotional violence / your twisted vices burned my skin like  ultraviolet’. This line offers a vivid reflection of the intensity and vulnerability that shape Kaiyah’s songwriting. ‘3  Month Blackout’ marks a return to the narrative depth and lyricism of earlier works, with the bridge pulling back instrumentation to let the story take centre stage before launching into a cathartic chorus.

Kaiyah’s creative process for ‘3 Month Blackout’ was instinctive and immediate. The song was written in the quiet hours of a sleepless night and has remained untouched since its inception. Produced by Seetali Mack, mixed by Hayden Lauresen, and mastered by Chris Downer, the track stands as an honest snapshot of emotional recovery and self-discovery.

On top of this, they took the stage for a pair of headlining shows, each drawing strong crowds of supporters. Their music reached new heights with a first play on Triple J. Kaiyah’s commitment to community saw them become an LGBTQIA+ ambassador for Euphoria Social.

With each release, Kaiyah seeks to empower listeners, offering agency, confidence, and a sense of belonging  through music that is as vulnerable as it is resilient.

Supporting the track visually is a powerful music video, continuing the narrative from the ‘I’m Gonna Be Famous  (How Cute!)’. The new clip follows Kaiyah and bandmates as their flight crash-lands on a deserted island, where they must survive for three months. Created in collaboration with Francis from District Down Under, the video blends spontaneous creativity with a playful spirit, capturing the beauty in chaos and the bonds built through shared experience.

Bob Yonker Releases Album ‘Dreams of Light’

"Bob Yonker Releases Album ‘Dreams of Light’"

Dreams of Light is a collection of improvisational solo piano compositions by Bob Yonker, recorded entirely in the moment.

Guided by intention and presence, each piece was performed as it emerged—untouched by prewritten notes or rigid structure.

The result is an album that offers listeners a gentle sanctuary of sound, inviting stillness, reflection, and emotional renewal.

Deeply contemplative and spiritually uplifting, Dreams of Light serves as a companion for meditation, quiet moments, and healing experiences.

Screenshot 2026-02-23 at 8.17.12 PM

Bob Yonker creates solo piano music with the intention of calming the mind, soothing the soul, and healing the planet—one note at a time.

Growing up in the Northeast, Bob’s earliest musical memories are of his mother singing and playing piano in their home. Fascinated by the instrument and the sounds it produced, he began experimenting on his own, teaching himself simple songs by the age of four. At six, he took lessons for a year, though it soon became clear that he was playing entirely by ear rather than reading music. His teacher famously discovered this after Bob performed his recital piece flawlessly—but in the wrong key. Although he later learned to read music, Bob has always felt most at home expressing himself through his own style and original compositions.

After being told by colleges that his unconventional approach did not align with traditional classical training, Bob chose a different path. He earned a degree in Agricultural Science from Penn State and spent many years working to help the environment. During this time, he also worked second jobs in group homes for individuals with developmental challenges—work he found deeply meaningful—and served as the organist for various churches where he lived.

In the 1990s, while still working full-time, Bob returned to school and earned a triple degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education. This led to a new chapter as a special needs teacher, a role he embraced and enjoyed for 15 years. He and many of his teaching colleagues used his music in the classroom and found that the students experienced increased calm, focus, concentration, and productivity.

Re-energized and creatively inspired by his teaching career, Bob eventually returned to his first love—music. He has since composed eleven albums of contemplative, contemporary, and meditative solo piano music, along with a Christmas album. His latest release, Dreams of Light, is an improvisational album recorded entirely in the moment at the studio. As with all of Bob’s music, each piece is created with the intention of bringing calm, joy, and healing to the listener.

He has also been commissioned by individuals to “channel” and record personalized piano pieces uniquely attuned to their frequency with the listeners reporting beautiful emotional releases and healings. (Spirit Songs)

Elizabeth Rae Releases Single ‘Potential in You’

"Elizabeth Rae Releases Single ‘Potential in You’"

Singer, songwriter, and pianist Elizabeth Rae is excited to announce the release of her new single, “Potential in You”: a radiant, girly-pop anthem celebrating the God-given dreams, promise and purpose she sees in her 10-year-old daughter, Evelyn.

The song was composed on Elizabeth’s newly acquired baby grand piano—her self-described “marketplace bargain of a lifetime.” Written at the keys on October 14th, the track emerged as a vibrant pop anthem with a heartfelt message she felt compelled to share.

“Potential in You” marks a significant milestone in Elizabeth’s musical journey: it is the first track she has written and recorded independently, using simple equipment on the farm where she lives with her husband and three children. The final mix and master were completed by long-time friend and collaborator Pete Wallis (Studio PR, Sydney).

Elizabeth shares one of her favourite memories from the song’s creation: “When I finished writing the song, Evelyn popped into my little studio to hear it for the first time. Halfway through listening, her face lit up and she pointed to her feet—she was wearing her green gumboots, a key lyric in the chorus! I hadn’t even noticed when she walked in. It was so special to share that moment and to watch her listen to the song before anyone else.”

Hopeful, bright, and rooted in faith, “Potential in You” is a song for parents, mentors, and anyone who believes in the God-given potential within others.

Screenshot 2025-12-16 at 1.07.50 PM

Elizabeth Rae is a singer, songwriter and pianist from Queensland’s Toowoomba region, crafting shimmering pop shaped by faith, infused with hope, and driven by heartfelt storytelling.

With a voice that blends sweetness and strength — and a writing style rooted in her love of language and theology — she turns her ideas and experiences into catchy, sun-lit hooks and moving, memorable melodies.

Raised by the ocean on the Coffs Coast of NSW, Elizabeth discovered her musical spark at the piano and began performing at charity events, corporate functions, churches, and festivals throughout her teens. During this season she also recorded several early albums, honing the craft and confidence that would shape her artistry.

At 19, she released her debut EP ‘Taste and See’, followed by her album ‘Flowers’ in 2018 — a project that marked her shift into a more polished, introspective pop sound. Her 2023 single ‘Whatever Is Lovely’ led the way into her newest venture: writing congregational worship songs for the Church.

Through her music, Elizabeth hopes to communicate beauty and truth, one pop anthem at a time.

Her brand-new single “Potential in You” is a summery, feel-good celebration of the hopes and dreams we hold for the people we love.

Richard Dillon Releases Album ‘Fernweh: The Need to Travel’

"Richard Dillon Releases Album ‘Fernweh: The Need to Travel’"

With Fernweh: The Need to Travel, pianist and composer Richard Dillon invites listeners on a journey through landscapes both real and imagined. Spanning compositions written between 2017 and 2025, the album reflects Dillon’s lifelong fascination with movement, memory, and place, each piece a postcard from a different moment in time.

From the intimate tenderness of “Breakfast with My Best Friend” to the sweeping romanticism of “Camelot” and the haunting stillness of “- 20”, Dillon captures emotion through melody with painterly precision. The music evokes a traveler’s sense of wonder: fleeting scenes of friendship, loss, nature, and nostalgia rendered through shimmering piano textures and expressive phrasing.

Though rooted in the New Age / Neo-Impressionist tradition, Fernweh is deeply cinematic: its sound world unfolds like a film score for an inner voyage. The album’s narrative flows effortlessly from light to shadow, from the innocence of “Chasing Butterflies” to the meditative depth of “Echoes of a Broken Heart” and the reflective grace of “Mother’s Eyes.”

Screenshot 2025-12-16 at 12.43.21 PM

Richard Dillon is a composer-pianist whose music draws on the evocative power of memory, place and quiet introspection. With a formal background that includes an AA, BA and Master of Music in piano and composition, he has woven a multi-faceted career: as a performer in USO tours across the Pacific, a music educator, and—more recently—a recording artist whose solo-piano works have reached an international audience.

Growing up with Asperger’s and ADHD, Dillon found solace and expression in the piano. What began as lessons in childhood evolved into a lifelong journey of sound and storytelling. Reflecting his self-described “Neo-Impressionist” aesthetic, his compositions capture everything from the wistful longing of travel to the ambient hush of a winter’s night.

Based in Seattle, Dillon’s catalogue spans over a decade of releases on streaming platforms, including works featured on Pandora and Spotify. His music invites listeners into a landscape both intimate and expansive —a place where melody becomes memory and silence becomes texture.
