Suze DeMarchi – HOME

"Suze DeMarchi – HOME"

‘Home’ by Suze DeMarchi features duets with Jimmy Barnes, Russell Morris, Diesel, Tex Perkins and Dallas Frasca.
Marking exactly fifteen years since the enigmatic singer’s first solo album, the new studio offering is a collection of familiar songs about home, originally recorded by a diverse set of artists including The Clash, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sheryl Crow, Adele, Ryan Adams and more.
These are the songs that have been close to Suze’s heart on her journey around the world and back home to Australia.
“Home was always on my mind. I’ve always been drawn to stories about home, and love many songs about home that resonate with me now as much as they did during the years I was away. To celebrate my journey I’ve recorded an album of these songs, with some friends, and with those I admire.”

A slight departure from her rock roots with the Baby Animals, and with the unlikely and ultimately perfect pairing of Shane Nicholson on production, ‘Home’ is delivered with the same passion that has earned Suze DeMarchi her iconic status in the Australian music history books.
“Home is where my roots lie, where my folks are, where my history remains, where the air is sweet, where my friends reside and where I kiss the ground when I step off that plane.”

Nick De La Hoyde-Passion

"Nick De La Hoyde-Passion"

In the current musical landscape, there are no longer barriers. You don’t have to be from New York or LA to be a rap artist. Poetry and pop music can go hand-in-hand, and an MC doesn’t need to shy away from wearing his heart on his sleeve. This makes it the perfect time to introduce Nick de la Hoyde.

Nick de la Hoyde is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter/rapper from Sydney, Australia.

In pursuit of a professional football career, Nick moved to Barcelona, Spain at the age of 15 and lived there for 4 years. It was during this time that Nick started to explore hip-hop music as a way of expressing his frustrations with the ups and downs of following his dreams. What started out as an outlet, soon became a burning passion. Nick wrote lyrics and melodies to his favorite instrumentals as well as original songs, in collaboration with Sydney based composer, musician and producer (and brother) Joseph de la Hoyde (de la Aurora & Monks of Mellonwah).

Melding the sounds and vibes of hip-hop, pop, soul, R&B, and spoken word, Nick de la Hoyde developed a style that defies genres. With introspective lyrics that read like personal journal entries, his songs express the angst and triumphs that come with youth, dreams, and determination.

That message certainly made an impact. By performing his songs online and through his self-made videos, Nick began to make a name for himself, building a strong and loyal fanbase that continues to grow. This growth has been seen across all of Nick’s social media sites, and in particular on Instagram where he has amassed a large following in just five 5 months.

Nick’s work recently caught the attention of Chicago based Hip-Hop producer Lemoyne ‘LA’ Alexander (R.Kelly, Aaliyah) who invited Nick to the USA to collaborate. The result, Nick’s debut single “The Longest Way,” realeased in October, entered the US top 100 chart strongly in 2015.

The voice of 2015 – Nick de la Hoyde is the artist to watch!

The album pre-order announcement and the release of the “Better Man” video comes on the heels of what can only be described as a pivotal month for Bridges. Counting Crows-Somewhere Under Wonderland

"Counting Crows-Somewhere Under Wonderland"

For more than two decades, Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Now, on Somewhere Under Wonderland —their seventh studio album, the Bay Area-bred alt-rock band push into new terrain with a revamped songwriting approach that’s adventurous and visionary but still rooted in raw emotion.

Propelled by the same earthy passion that’s instilled their songs since 1993’s multiplatinum August and Everything After, Counting Crows (vocalist Adam Duritz; guitarists David Bryson, David Immergluck, and Dan Vickrey; bassist Millard Powers; keyboardist Charlie Gillingham; and drummer Jim Bogios) build each of Somewhere Under Wonderland’s sprawling songs around rich sonic tapestries and a storytelling-esque lyricism that yields some of their most grandiose yet intimate songs so far.

The Kooks – Listen

"The Kooks – Listen"

“It’s a word that looks and sounds beautiful,” says Luke Pritchard. “I love the roundness of it, the simplicity of it.” The word the Kooks singer is extolling is “Listen” – which also happens to be the title of the band’s new album. Luke’s reasons for choosing that title become clear the moment you dive into the new record – as they do when he starts to describe its genesis, and the personal and emotional transformation he experienced while making it. “To me,” Luke continues, “this album is about pure expression. Even the way we made the album felt fresh. Rather than us just being a band in a room, playing our guitars with the vocal over the top, which is what we’d always done before, we were really listening to what was going on around us, picking up ideas. The whole thing was much more natural.”
