The EP – Echoes of Our Past
Echoes of Our Past is a deeply personal and powerful release from Medusa’s Wake, born from a period of profound loss and reflection. The songs emerged after lead singer and songwriter Eddie Lawlor lost both his father and brother within sixteen months of each other in Ireland. In the space between grief and healing, these tracks took shape — not simply as songs, but as a way to process loss, honour memory, and reconnect with heritage.
Blending Celtic tradition with driving folk-rock energy, Echoes of Our Past carries the raw honesty that defines Medusa’s Wake while revealing a more mature and emotionally resonant depth. Themes of family, resilience, identity, and brotherhood run throughout the EP, transforming personal tragedy into communal strength. Their latest release, the EP Echoes of Our Past, marks a confident evolution in both songwriting and musicianship.
