Bob Yonker Releases Album ‘Dreams of Light’

"Bob Yonker Releases Album ‘Dreams of Light’"

Dreams of Light is a collection of improvisational solo piano compositions by Bob Yonker, recorded entirely in the moment.

Guided by intention and presence, each piece was performed as it emerged—untouched by prewritten notes or rigid structure.

The result is an album that offers listeners a gentle sanctuary of sound, inviting stillness, reflection, and emotional renewal.

Deeply contemplative and spiritually uplifting, Dreams of Light serves as a companion for meditation, quiet moments, and healing experiences.

Screenshot 2026-02-23 at 8.17.12 PM

Bob Yonker creates solo piano music with the intention of calming the mind, soothing the soul, and healing the planet—one note at a time.

Growing up in the Northeast, Bob’s earliest musical memories are of his mother singing and playing piano in their home. Fascinated by the instrument and the sounds it produced, he began experimenting on his own, teaching himself simple songs by the age of four. At six, he took lessons for a year, though it soon became clear that he was playing entirely by ear rather than reading music. His teacher famously discovered this after Bob performed his recital piece flawlessly—but in the wrong key. Although he later learned to read music, Bob has always felt most at home expressing himself through his own style and original compositions.

After being told by colleges that his unconventional approach did not align with traditional classical training, Bob chose a different path. He earned a degree in Agricultural Science from Penn State and spent many years working to help the environment. During this time, he also worked second jobs in group homes for individuals with developmental challenges—work he found deeply meaningful—and served as the organist for various churches where he lived.

In the 1990s, while still working full-time, Bob returned to school and earned a triple degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education. This led to a new chapter as a special needs teacher, a role he embraced and enjoyed for 15 years. He and many of his teaching colleagues used his music in the classroom and found that the students experienced increased calm, focus, concentration, and productivity.

Re-energized and creatively inspired by his teaching career, Bob eventually returned to his first love—music. He has since composed eleven albums of contemplative, contemporary, and meditative solo piano music, along with a Christmas album. His latest release, Dreams of Light, is an improvisational album recorded entirely in the moment at the studio. As with all of Bob’s music, each piece is created with the intention of bringing calm, joy, and healing to the listener.

He has also been commissioned by individuals to “channel” and record personalized piano pieces uniquely attuned to their frequency with the listeners reporting beautiful emotional releases and healings. (Spirit Songs)

Fiona Joy Hawkins Releases Album ‘When Shadows Talk’

"Fiona Joy Hawkins Releases Album ‘When Shadows Talk’"

VINYL OUT NOW 180Gram Gatefold Audiophile LP
‘When Shadows Talk’ offers musical storytelling that explores inward and outward reflection. “Many of the pieces are about my creative process as an artist and bring to life behind-the-scenes workings of what it takes to dig deep enough to find valuable conversations.” – FJH

I went into a self-imposed lockdown for much of the writing to find my creative centre. This exile allowed me to explore what lies deep beneath the surface and is often passed over or suppressed, both personally and in the context of broader community discussion.

The project threw up many obstacles, starting with the need to find another piano on the first day of recording. My plans were plagued with multiple instrument and venue issues, but fortunately, those involved were committed to helping me bring the project to life. My thanks go to Peter Stevenson (Producer), Michael Luchich (Engineer), Wayne Stuart (Piano Maker) and Tony Prince (Piano Tuner).

As I look back, I can laugh at the comedy in all that went wrong: Three broken strings, a “buzz” in A above middle C (A4) caused by a screwdriver left inside the piano, wood-chopping, lawn-mowing, dog barking, council truck (road works), rain (tin roof), building frame expansion/contraction, power outage (for 2 hours), mic connection issues… and that didn’t include the piano player/composer hitting the wall from exhaustion and frustration!

Despite extensive hold-ups, we did it, and I hope you, as the listener, find a work of beauty that holds something of value.

ARIA nominated Australian classically trained Pianist, Composer and Singer, crossing genres from Neoclassical to New Age, Celtic and Jazz.

‘My greatest hope is that my music makes a difference.’ Fiona Joy Hawkins produces original ethereal music to soothe the soul. It is also a passion to make music videos to tell the stories of our lives and the natural world around us.

Living in rural Australia, Fiona has played at New York’s Carnegie Hall, the New Orleans Jazz Museum, Sydney Opera House, Echoes/NPR Radio, Grammy Museum & concert halls of China. Inspired by Chopin & Mendelssohn. Winner of International awards, including: ‘Grace’ on Grammy-winning album, and ARIA Finalist, IMA Winner.

“Anyone who can write music that transcends genre and moves into the realm of self-examination is a person to follow and enjoy. Wonderful!”  - John M. Crossett, Aural Musings

“For me, she is a modern female Beethoven. I know that is very high praise, but I think many folks will be looking back many years from now, and she will still be current. That is what makes her music stand the test of time. Her albums play smooth, like a good book you just can’t put down, and yet before you know it is over.”  - Dave Wilson AudioAficionado.org.

Victor Towle Releases Album ‘Sleight of Hand’

"Victor Towle Releases Album ‘Sleight of Hand’"

His new album Sleight Of Hand, unlike much string-based New Age music, is not derived from Eastern music tradition. Rather, Victor drew inspiration from his life, his experiences, and his surroundings. Sleight Of Hand evokes the deception and beauty of our beliefs of our experiences. Inspired by the whispers of subtle streams to the cool shade and chilly peaks of the Rocky Mountains, Sleight Of Hand is a reflection on the nature of life, the ephemeral cycle of the seasons, and the raw, emotional foundation of judgements of ourselves as human beings.

Unlike many albums where the pieces are perfected and performed widely live before recording, the music on Sleight Of Hand was written as initial ideas and then refined by Victor through live performance at meditation classes multiple times per week. This process allowed Victor to capture the most distilled form of the ideas and emotions that constitute each piece, creating an end product that is both authentic and field-tested. Then, Victor hand picked the perfect soloist and accompanying musician to add to the secret understanding and desire for the emotion of each song.

With Sleight Of Hand, Victor has successfully tapped into both that universal interconnected experience of being human, and his own personal expression of what it means to be Victor Towle. Sleight Of Hand leaves listeners with simultaneously an affirming answer and an unanswerable question!

Screenshot 2024-11-26 at 5.06.16 PM

Victor Towle is an eclectic and multi-talented artist who has gained recognition in the New Age music scene for his expertise in various styles. Victor soon began his musical journey by listening to classic pop hits on the AM radio he was gifted by his grandfather. Then branching out to legendary guitarists such as the iconic Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, and Wes Montgomery.

Throughout his school years, Victor was exposed to different styles of music, including jazz, which he played in school bands, and rock, pop, and blues, which he played in a party band called “The Band.” His fascination with jazz legends such as John Coltrane, Dexter Gordon, and Miles Davis, whom he discovered during this period, continued to shape his musical preferences throughout his life. After completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling, respectively, Victor began his professional career in social work and counseling for those who had a brain injury.

As a guitarist and soloist, Victor has grown his instrumental repertoire, owing to his extensive experience as a leader and collaborator. He attributes his musical development to his professional career, which includes working as a Clinical Care Manager for rehabilitation, as well as his involvement with yoga and meditation. Victor’s passion for using his guitar music as an aide in meditative and rehabilitative practices inspired his latest albums, “Acoustic Reflections”,”Colorado Zen,” “The Space In Between”, and “Still Young For Another Day”, which showcases his eclectic musical background and the immersive soundscapes of New Age music.

His album “Colorado Zen” was nominated for New Age Music Acoustic Instrumental Album of the Year and reached #8 on the New Age Music charts (Zone Music Reporter). The song “Spring Crocus” was also featured on Sirius XM Spa channel. His album “The Space In Between” reached #11 and the song “Storm On The Horizon was also added to Sirius XM Spa channel.

David M. Edwards Releases Album ‘Memories of You’

"David M. Edwards Releases Album ‘Memories of You’"

“Memories of You” is the fourth album released by David M. Edwards. It includes 15 original piano pieces that take the listener on a journey featuring a wide range of emotions. From the joyous “Swallows in Flight” through the stormy “Tempest,” we travel through a landscape featuring elements of the natural world. Ultimately the journey comes to rest with a nice “Walk in the Park,” and a magical transport to the peaceful scene of “Dolphins Swimming Underwater.” It’s a journey you’ll want to take again and again.

“David M. Edwards is a pianist of great style and fluency… a manifestation of a timeless collection of beautiful solo piano compositions, ones that will linger for a long while within the musical memory… an album of the heart, performed by a musician who is clearly playing from it. … it is eternal and played with the honesty and sublime brilliance you would imagine from a seasoned master.”

– Steve Shepherd, One World Music Radio

david

David M. Edwards played many different styles of music in his career, including classical, jazz, rock and country (one of his bands was signed to Capitol Records) before finding his own style in New Age piano. His first two albums (released as Dave Edwards) were an eclectic mix of styles drawn from his years as a performer. Following the release of those albums, he felt solo piano was the most natural for him. This led to the release of his third album, “Still the River Flows” in 2019.

After that album was released, he developed a series of serious health issues, including osteoarthritis in his hands, which affected his ability to play the piano or read music. He was unable to play the piano for almost three years. After multiple surgeries and physical therapy, he gradually was able to play and compose music again.

His fourth album, “Memories of You,” is the culmination of his struggle to get back to creating music. While he is still somewhat limited in the amount of time he can spend playing, he plays and records new music as much as possible, and hopes to release several more albums in the coming years.
