Peter Calandra Releases Album ‘Night Mist’

"Peter Calandra Releases Album ‘Night Mist’"

Drift into the stillness of twilight with Night Mist — a contemplative, ambient pianocentric album from acclaimed composer and pianist Peter Calandra. Known for his evocative and cinematic style, Calandra invites listeners into a world of gentle melodies, delicate textures, and atmospheric soundscapes.

Each track on Night Mist unfolds like a quiet conversation with the night — introspective, calm, and emotionally resonant. The piano takes center stage, evoking the hush of evening rain, the rustle of leaves, and the distant shimmer of stars.

“Peter Calandra, with an extensive background in Broadway, has an ability to create moments of tranquility and contemplation in today’s frenetic, fast paced world offering listeners a retreat through his music.” (MelodicMag.Com:)

Gabó Releases ‘Mystic Rocks, New Wind [Ether instrumental version]’

"Gabó Releases ‘Mystic Rocks, New Wind [Ether instrumental version]’"

This version captures the desert’s mystical calmness and soft summer wind.

The music conveys a slow and deep contemplative state.

The mysterious flute motif invites the listener into a mystical experience.

Mystic Rocks…Ether version recalls the spiritual experience of walking alone in the Joshua Tree Park without any baggage.

Gabó has filtered out many layers to reach the spiritual essence of his composition Mystic Rocks, New Wind.

Screenshot 2025-05-12 at 6.10.04 PM

Gabó’s music is overall instrumental and Electronic, but with an eclectic blend of influences from other genres such as Alternative, New Age, Reggae, Rock, Classical, Jazz, Singer/Songwriter, and ethnic music. Originally from South America, after completing his formal studies in Electronic production from Berklee College in Boston, he lived many years in France, where he grasped some of Europe’s vintage film and Electronic scene through further music studies and collaborations.

Although not a frequent performer, Gabó has had the opportunity to play at interesting venues such as the legendary House of Blues (Los Angeles), the scenic Pismo Beach State park in central California, and the New World Symphony (Miami Beach). As much of his music is instrumental and cinematic, accompanying visuals play a very important role. He has performed with or for visual media at the Paris III city hall (France), O Cinema (Miami Beach), and the Soundscape Park (Miami Beach), among others. Gabó has been a five-time recipient of the ASCAP Plus Awards thanks to his performances at alternative spaces.

In addition to creating music, Gabó’s studies in music therapy have infused the way he composes and performs – especially his slow works – with a healing awareness. This is especially the case on his 2019 Ambient album “A Desert Night of Tranquility,” and it has a central place on current live-streamings.

Currently, although most of his productions remain instrumental, collaborations with vocalists are more frequent. He works between New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Larkenlyre Releases EP ‘The Dream Within The Dream’

"Larkenlyre Releases EP ‘The Dream Within The Dream’"

When we sleep at night and imagine scenarios that have never taken place, or maybe relive ones that have, we call it a dream. When we stop in the course of our day, and instead of doing something, become wrapped in the thought of a time in the past, or a time to come, we call it a dream. When we think of how it might be if our life or the world were much different than it is now, we call it a dream.

If we feel we don’t belong, or if we have no home at all, we might dream of sanctuary. If we are old, we might dream of childhood. If we struggle to find peace, we might dream of an idyll. If we had loves long ago that are still vivid, we might dream of our loves long past. If we have love now, we might dream of growing old together.

Dogen Zenji one day realizes, “These plum blossoms which I’ve been seeing every day are the udumbara flower, which blooms only once every three thousand years.”

All of this, the arc of the sparrow’s flight, the light on the horizon as the new day begins, the aroma of a cooking breakfast, water flying wildly over a cliff as the spring snows melt, every Shakespeare play, every Sibelius symphony, the moon rising to begin another night, the leaves falling from eighty million trees as they prepare for winter, the discovery of a hundred billion galaxies outside our own, the sound of a piano hammer striking its string, a footprint in the snow, all of it, the dream within the dream.

Stephen Wallack Releases Album ‘Open’

"Stephen Wallack Releases Album ‘Open’"

The last couple of years have been an intense period of reflection and gratitude. Reflecting on the chaotic world that we live in, it can be difficult to find the beauty in the lives we each live. My personal journey has been trying to “open” myself up to new ideas, new people, and challenging myself to see life through multiple lenses. We all have gifts to share with the world that make it a better place, but finding that confidence, patience and grace can be easier said than done.

OPEN is my journey to connect with a deeper self-awareness and a greater hope that we can all find that inner peace we so desperately need.

Screenshot 2025-03-27 at 3.40.27 PM

“When I write,” Wallack says, “I picture the music moving to film.”

At age fourteen, Wallack took a leap of faith: he stopped playing the music he was hearing and started playing the music he was imagining. Overflowing with ideas, emotions, and concepts, music became the natural manner Wallack expressed himself. Inspired by the grandiose feelings of George Winston’s music and the rich imagery within film scores, Wallack set out on his path as a writer – a path whose direction became clearer through the help of a friend named Mike McCready.

Mike McCready, better known as the guitarist for iconic ‘90s rock band Pearl Jam, became Wallack’s first guitar teacher, and gave him his first guitar. McCready’s influence led Wallack to expand his musical tastes, and as his sonic preferences widened to include artists like Soundgarden, Tom Petty, and Neil Young, his focus on his craftsmanship became more acute.

“I’m beyond fortunate to have the friendship with [Mike] that I have,” Wallack says. “He really has inspired me to continue pursuing my passion for music.”

During the past five years, Wallack released five full-length albums: “Chapters”, “Stories”, “Reflections”, “Colors”, and “Wondering”. All albums which capture and bring to life moments and memories that have defined and inspired Stephen.

“OPEN” is his sixth solo piano release.

Monster Taxi Releases Single ‘Pacifica’

"Monster Taxi Releases Single ‘Pacifica’"

“From the very first note, Pacifica captivates with a deep, resonant bass-line that pulses straight to your soul. True to its name—Spanish for “peaceful”—the song exudes serenity, inspired by the beauty and mystery of the Oregon coastline. The composition mirrors the rhythm of crashing waves and the stillness of nature, creating a vibe that is both soothing and awe-inspiring.”

– Bill Kelly, Founder of the Winter Music Conference

Pacifica by Monster Taxi – the brainchild of Miami composer, producer, and musician Jason Klein – takes us on a sensory journey where the Oregon coastline’s rocky landscapes and thundering waves connect to become a symphony of natural beauty. A soundtrack that underscores the splendor of the Oregon region’s rocky cliffs, migrating whales, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant ecosystems are reminders of nature’s boundless creativity and enduring power. This mesmerizing piece pays homage to Klein’s travels with his wife to this coastal region and the awe-inspiring sites they witnessed and explored. The Oregon coast left an indelible mark, calling them back to its shores through this song.

Matthew Labarge Releases Album ‘Windy Starry Blue’

"Matthew Labarge Releases Album ‘Windy Starry Blue’"

The sky is never bluer than on a crystal clear evening half an hour or so after the winter sun has gone below the horizon. The moon won’t be up for hours yet and the heavens express a sweet melancholy.

On my last visit to Montreal, I spent time in four fantastically beautiful cathedrals and recorded ambient sound in each of them. The music of Windy Starry Blue is built on these sounds.

Orchestra Indigo Releases Album ‘Hearing Visions’

"Orchestra Indigo Releases Album ‘Hearing Visions’"

Hearing Visions is a deeply emotive and sonically transcendent journey crafted by Orchestra Indigo. Inspired by the artist’s mother, who experienced vivid aural hallucinations in the decade preceding her dementia diagnosis, this album explores the mysterious interplay between memory, imagination, and sound. Her “visions” of orchestras, Christmas carols, and fleeting melodies—sounds she often joyfully embraced—became a profound source of inspiration for this evocative release.

Blurring the lines between the real and the imagined, Hearing Visions invites listeners into a world where music acts as a bridge to the subconscious, a way to connect to beauty and solace even amidst life’s most challenging transitions. Lush orchestral layers, ethereal melodies, and an undercurrent of heartfelt nostalgia come together to create a soundscape that is as meditative as it is emotionally stirring.

Through its blend of serene harmonies and evocative instrumentation, Hearing Visions reflects not only the wonder of its inspiration but also celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the healing power of music. Orchestra Indigo has created a work that resonates deeply with anyone who has found solace in sound and seeks to honor the invisible threads that connect us through memory and love.

Screen Shot 2024-01-15 at 9.44.26 am

The fascinating story behind the emergence of new age artist Orchestra Indigo and its beautifully melodic and deeply inspiring debut album Farewell to Memories, has its roots in the lockdown early in the pandemic, when musicians around the world, with their regular gigs suddenly stripped away, were trying to figure out their next creative steps.

Having released his fifth blues rock oriented album Night Songs in February 2020, multi-talented singer/songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist Rick Randlett had every intention of hitting the road in support of the project. That had been his m.o. for years, playing up to 125 regional club and festival dates in and around his adopted home state of Florida for nearly a decade and a half after launching his solo career in 1999 with All Alone. Three of his releases reached the Top Ten on the Roots Music Report charts, and he collaborated on the album Hauntings with fellow blues singer Cassie Keenum in 2017.

Turning his anxiety over the sudden work stoppage into a fresh stream of creativity, he began exploring ambient, new age style compositions on a home studio setup that includes a Mac Book Pro, Studio One for DAW, Roland Juno synthesizer and a Modal Cobalt 8 synthesizer. His first idea was to create short instrumental pieces for music libraries, but besides learning about the fierce competition in that field, he realized there were too many restrictive rules. Rick embraced the freedom of composing longer pieces combining piano melodies with an array of dynamic colors he created using synthesized strings. Extensively researching the new age genre, he realized not only that these pieces he was composing were a perfect fit, but also that the audience for instrumental music was much more expansive than that in the blues world that was his home for so long. In creating his albums, he chose the artist branding name Orchestra Indigo because, after considering various word combinations, he thought it sounded unique and a little mysterious – and he didn’t want to confuse fans of his work in either genre by using his given name on the new age material.
