It’s the Music, that brings us together to celebrate truth without boundaries, freedom to be yourself and bare your soul, to channel emotions, to form a connection and a common thread that creates an outlet with a remedy!

What a thrill for us to go back into the studio to record 3 new tracks that feature alongside our favourite songs from ‘Big Love’ album & ‘Ricochet’ EP. From the early days, the seed was planted and drew inspiration from its deep Tasmanian roots. Today, the tree stands tall!  We’ve travelled so far on this journey. What a beautiful ride, playing incredible live shows, making great albums and honing in on our skills with our wonderful band family. What a blessing to see how we’ve grown and evolved.

Daxton Releases Album ‘Serpent Of The Road’

"Daxton Releases Album ‘Serpent Of The Road’"

The creation of the album Serpent of the Road was a musical journey for Daxton.  The songs developed organically starting with simple melody or riff and then expanding to include sometimes complex arrangements. Weaving his influences from artists like Prince, Jimi Hendrix, and David Bowie, Daxton songs explore themes of wanderlust, self-discovery, and the transient nature of life. The songs capture a particular time and feeling, all wrapped in a heavy psychedelic blues and grungy sound.

Throwing Shapes Releases Album ‘Night Of The Soul’

"Throwing Shapes Releases Album ‘Night Of The Soul’"

The new album is a fast-paced melodic journey of light and dark with dark moody melodies and soul searching themes.  Exploring feelings of ‘Reaching’ for the stars, while feeling trapped in the ‘Eye Of The Storm’ in a personal ‘Night Of The Soul’.  The album also features lighter more positive and entertaining subject matters, mixed with expressions of cathartic life experiences.

After overcoming extreme depression (which had brought his music making to a complete halt) through meditation, Fox has recovered and found his creative force once more. His journey was difficult with bad physical reaction and withdrawal symptoms from recreational and medicinal drugs.

‘I am now on the other side of that dark tunnel and finding myself in new and unexpected territory. In a new stage of life, which is something that I’m still getting used to and still figuring out as I go. The ‘Night Of The Soul’ album is the story of that journey.’ – Fox

Dan Chadburn Releases Album ‘Sacred Balance’

"Dan Chadburn Releases Album ‘Sacred Balance’"

Sacred Balance is dedicated to the memory of Mark Alan Smith, an extraordinary artist and cherished friend who faced his battle with cancer with courage and grace. This album is offered in his honor with the hope that its music encourages listeners to pause, breathe, and witness the vibrant beauty that surrounds us, even when the world feels chaotic or turned upside down.

Originally composed as a series of pieces for solo piano, the subsequent addition of cello melodies deepens the expressive connection, evoking the quiet strength and sacred calm residing within each of us, even in the presence of life’s turbulent storms. May the music serve both as a remembrance and a reminder that stillness, beauty, and balance are always within reach…

Blackfox’s Latest Album ‘Blackfox4’

"Blackfox’s Latest Album ‘Blackfox4’"

Atlanta indie rock veterans Blackfox return with their fourth album, 4, a dynamic journey across alternative rock, new wave, punk, power pop, and prog. Built on driving guitars, soaring vocals, and atmospheric keys, the record delivers both punch and depth.

Song Descriptions

Beaming – A guitar and vocal powerhouse penned by Andy Gish.

Bring Your Fire / Jump – Punk-leaning, dance-ready tracks with an ‘80s edge.

Goodbye This Time – California-tinged breakup song with Monica Arrington’s standout vocal.

She Died Inside – Smart ‘80s power pop, in the vein of Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, Squeeze.

Strangers – Atmospheric and heavy, a Pink Floyd-style homage.

Sacred – Dual-vocal prog romp shifting between 6/8 and 4/4.

pr

Blackfox plays sludgy, guitar-driven rock rooted in a grungy blues that’s dirty yet melodic. Their songs veer from sinister heaviness to melodic clarity, moving through hard-rocking punk energy, acoustic-driven ballads, and psych-ambient explorations.

Led by veteran multi-instrumentalist and sonic visionary Stacey Cargal, the band blends garage, blues, gospel, and country influences with elements of noise and space rock. Each track feels lived-in and dangerous, crafted with the confidence earned from years in the trenches.

Dark, eerie, and defiantly unclassifiable, Blackfox keeps listeners on edge while delivering a deeply satisfying, unapologetically raw musical experience.

Jack Nolan Releases Single ‘Extraordinary’

"Jack Nolan Releases Single ‘Extraordinary’"

Jack Nolan’s “Extraordinary” is a poignant reflection on a cherished, absent individual, born from lingering affection and regret. It explores unfulfilled plans and enduring memories. The song originated from an accomplished finger-picking guitar part, which then inspired an impeccable orchestral arrangement and a haunting piano melody, crafting a powerful statement. Recorded at Nashville’s Curb Studios with producer Justin Weaver, the process captured its raw vulnerability and sophisticated musicality. “Extraordinary” stands as a timeless masterclass in songwriting, showcasing Nolan’s signature ambiguous storytelling and universal themes of love, loss, and connection.

res

Jack Nolan was thinking, of that first moment, when songwriting suddenly felt possible, when the penny dropped. “In my mid-teens, sitting alone on my bed, acoustic guitar in hand, trying to get it all happening, when I realised – these greats I love, Dylan, Bowie, Pink Floyd et al are playing all the same chords I’m playing” he says nostalgically “I could do this too – It was one of those split seconds that can alter your life, floored by the possibilities, the potential of music.”

On Nolan’s new album, The Lonely Petunia, he went to find that boy again, to honour that moment, that subliminal decision with his acoustic guitar.

Recorded in Nashville, “The Lonely Petunia” marks the eighth solo album by the Sydneysider. This intimate acoustic journey showcases the artist’s signature lyrical depth. Lush strings and piano add depth and character to Jack’s trademark storytelling. The album was produced by Justin Weaver, an American musician and producer celebrated for his collaborations with, amongst others, Wynona Judd and The Chicks. Nolan describes Weaver as a musical comrade, highlighting the great working partnership that spans over five albums.

Based in Sydney, Jack has been performing and releasing music and albums since the mid-1990s. In addition to an eight-album solo catalogue, Jack also fronted the Kelly Gang, alongside Rick Grossman, bassist for the Divinyls and Hoodoo Gurus, and Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst and guitarist Martin Rotsey. Their 2004 album, “Looking for the Sun,” remains a hidden gem, featuring an incredible lineup of musicians that delivered passionate and energetic live performances of the time.

The Stomp’n Ramblers Release Single ‘Kick’n Stones’

"The Stomp’n Ramblers Release Single ‘Kick’n Stones’"

Kick’n Stones marks the third release from the Stomp’n Ramblers’ debut album. Riding a smooth, bluesy stomp, the track weaves together harmonica & slide guitar with its reflective message.  A reminder that holding onto the past can weigh us down, and sometimes, the only way forward is to let go.

Quote “There’s always that one song that shows up just before you record an album — and you have to make the decision to let something else go. This was that song. We just had a solid session where things came together naturally, and we were feeling pretty positive. The lyrics came from a chance meeting years ago Stoney had with a guy in Brazil – when asked what he’d been up to, replied, ‘Not much, just kick’n stones’ – that simple phrase stuck, and it ended up fitting perfectly with feel of this track.”

ramb

The Stomp’n Ramblers is Owen Mancell on slide guitar/stomp box/vocals and Ryan Stone on harmonica. With a sound steeped in the raw spirit of Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, they draw influences from The Backsliders, RL Burnside and Muddy Waters to deliver an eclectic blend of vintage blues with contemporary storytelling.

Owen’s soulful voice brings a deep emotional edge to their music, carrying the weight and warmth of old-school blues with every note. Paired with Ryan’s electrifying harmonica work, the duo channels a sound that feels timeless and unique.

As seasoned performers on the live circuit, The Stomp’n Ramblers have shared stages with acclaimed acts like Sons of the East, 19 Twenty, and Nathan Cavaleri.

Si tu meaning ‘if you’ is the 4th poem in the Garland of 6 poems written by Sulpicia. Sulpicia has a deadly fever, and in essence says: ‘if you love me I will surely live!’. The music creates more movement in the last verse expressing optimism as Sulpicia ultimately recovers and is reunited with her secret lover Cerinthius in the next poem.

Michaele Archer is an Australian classically trained singer and composer and has performed nationally and internationally in Opera, Oratorio and concert. Michaele loves collaboration and unusual projects and highlights have included performances of “Brackish Songs” by indigenous composer Christopher Sainsbury and the first live performances of Schubert’s “Erlking” with a sand animation by Californian creator Benny Zelkowicz. Her original recording project “Galatea” was released in 2019.

Silphie is a collaboration with Michaele Archer (composer/vocal and harmonium), Rachel Whealy (cello), Giuseppe Zangari (guitar) and Gab Stelle (viola). The name Silphie comes from the ancient world’s herb Silphium which was used for everything from perfume and cooking to medicine. The latest recording project by Silphie, “Garland, the love poems of Sulpicia” is inspired by rich, raw sounds of analogue, alto instruments and ancient Latin poetry.

Sulpicia is a female voice that was lost for many years and her 6 love poems form the text for this project. Sulpicia lived around the time of Augustus in the first century BCE and her work is one of very few written by a Roman woman to survive. Her poems were published in a collection by the Roman male poet Tibullus and were originally attributed to him. Sulpicia’s Garland of poems tells the story of a secret love affair.
