The new album is a fast-paced melodic journey of light and dark with dark moody melodies and soul searching themes.  Exploring feelings of ‘Reaching’ for the stars, while feeling trapped in the ‘Eye Of The Storm’ in a personal ‘Night Of The Soul’.  The album also features lighter more positive and entertaining subject matters, mixed with expressions of cathartic life experiences.

After overcoming extreme depression (which had brought his music making to a complete halt) through meditation, Fox has recovered and found his creative force once more. His journey was difficult with bad physical reaction and withdrawal symptoms from recreational and medicinal drugs.

‘I am now on the other side of that dark tunnel and finding myself in new and unexpected territory. In a new stage of life, which is something that I’m still getting used to and still figuring out as I go. The ‘Night Of The Soul’ album is the story of that journey.’ – Fox

‘Missing’ was released by UK R&B duo Everything but the Girl in 1994 and is best known for the Todd Terry EDM remix. It evokes imagery of traveling urban to streets to stand alone in a moment of lost love. Tragic, but also so romantic and upbeat in the way it grooves you along. Brilliant!

The Burger Legs Joe restmod leans into the EDM remix, with added duff and a new perspective on the arrangement. Featured vocalist Loz C brings it all together in her unique style, radiating romance as she powers along the beat.

The track begins slowly and builds with a fat bass line and fast beat. There is a duality between the slower chords and melodies, and the busy drums, that makes this track interesting and a little unique. This track is about meditation, diving deep ‘Into The Void’ of your own mind and soul.

Some slow piano begins this track with an almost ambient flavour, but wait. Full arpeggio keys, drums and bass hit hard creating a dance floor smash. There’s a breakdown back to the chilled vibe before stretching back into the frenetic uptempo vibe that is Throwing Shapes’ signature.

This song is about seizing the moment, because life is happening now. But it’s also about mindfulness and the importance of being in the moment. As we generally spend 50% of the time thinking about the past and future. We’re only truely paying attention to what we are doing in our lives, half of the time.

Frantic auto filtered drums begin this track along with thick keyboard arpeggios. This resolves into a fast up-tempo backing track layered with clean and big piano and synth lines. Some vocoder vocals and funky guitars and bass bring this track home and add some top line hooks.
